Dr. Ziad Khalaf: The U.A.E is an Important Hub for Leading Businessmen

Dr. Ziad Khalaf Abdul, Chairman of the Board Directors of the “International Development Bank,” Chairman of the “Ziad Khalaf Holding Group” in Abu Dhabi, and a member of the Board of the Union of Arab Banks, affirmed that the U.A.E has managed to achieve sustainable development and keep pace with the latest global advancements, including the artificial intelligence revolution. This has made the U.A.E a vital hub for leading businessmen who have engaged in joint cooperation with the U.A.E on multiple fronts, especially as the U.A.E works to overcome obstacles for investors and helps expand joint commercial cooperation and investment across all sectors.

Ziad Khalaf praised the economic policies adopted by the U.A.E, which have significantly increased its non-oil foreign trade in the first half of 2024, reaching over 1.4 trillion dirhams, a 25% growth. The trade volume with Iraq rose by 41%, during which non-oil Emirati exports received were nearly four times what was received during the same period in 2023.

He pointed out that the “Ziad Khalaf Holding Group,” which comprises 22 companies, contributes to enhancing investment relations between the U.A.E and Iraq. It also facilitates trade exchange and development between the two countries in various fields, including investment, finance, industry, trade, real estate, and electronic payments.
