Europe Mediterranean Banking Summit

In his participation in the Euro-Mediterranean Banking Summit, Dr. Ziad Khalaf: "The Arab Region is a Land of Opportunities"
Based on his relentless efforts to advance the banking sector in Iraq and open up to Arab and international economic experiences, overcoming obstacles and challenges, Dr. Ziad Khalaf participated in the Euro-Mediterranean Banking Summit held in France, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Development Bank.

As a keynote speaker at the summit, Dr. Ziad highlighted the importance of the Arab region at the present time through his speech and considered it a "land of opportunities", especially with its trend towards stability and creating investment conditions. At a time when the world witnessed pivotal economic repercussions, the economies of the Arab region were able to prove their strength, as confirmed by the International Monetary Fund.

It is worth noting that the summit was held this year under the title "For a Sustainable Euro-Mediterranean Arab Economic Relationship", and is considered a high-level platform that brings together economic, financial and banking decision-makers to discuss means of drawing a roadmap to achieve a sustainable relationship that helps the region mitigate the repercussions of the increasing common challenges.

The Euro-Mediterranean Banking Summit is being held in France under the patronage of French President Emmanuel Macron, and is organized by the Union of Arab Banks in cooperation with the European Banking Federation, the International Chamber of Commerce - Paris, the Union of Francophone Banks, the Franco-Arab Chamber of Commerce, and the Union for the Mediterranean.
