International Development Bank Sees Public and Official Interest at Baghdad International Fair
For the fourth consecutive day, International Development Bank is witnessing significant public and official interest at the 47th Baghdad International Fair, under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. The event features participation from hundreds of global and Arab companies and private institutions across various economic, commercial, and industrial sectors from more than 20 countries.
The fair includes numerous activities, with one of the highlights being International Development Bank's daily contest titled “Participate and Win.” Visitors have the opportunity to win smartphones, open bank accounts with cash deposits, and receive valuable prizes from the bank.
Mr. Saad Faiq Abdul Aziz, Managing Director of International Development Bank, emphasized the importance of the bank's participation. He stated that the bank’s involvement was guided by Dr. Ziad Khalaf, Chairman of the Board of International Development Bank. Mr. Faiq noted that the bank possesses modern systems and technologies, providing services to both individuals and institutions in the public and private sectors through various advanced financial technologies and successful infrastructure. The bank is recognized as the first to implement electronic systems.
He added that International Development Bank is expanding and enhancing its financial services within the framework of a clear strategy for financial inclusion, setting priorities for implementation across all provinces. The bank currently operates 23 branches in Iraq, in addition to locations in Beirut and Dubai. The bank also uses 350 devices and has 5,000 outlets for salary distribution. All these efforts aim to build economic cooperation with investors, entrepreneurs, and companies, providing a conducive banking environment and promising investment opportunities that contribute to economic growth and prosperity.
It is worth noting that the Iraqi General Exhibitions Company and supporting entities within the ministry's departments and companies have completed final preparations for the new session of the Baghdad Fair. This session promises improved organization and enhanced aspects such as green space development, the introduction of electronic gates for the first time, and significant changes in the exhibition halls, all contributing to a refined aesthetic and high-quality presentation of the fair.
