The International Development Bank Witnesses Popular and Official Turnout at Baghdad International Fair

For the fourth consecutive day, the International Development Bank (IDB) is witnessing a popular and official turnout at the 47th Baghdad International Fair, sponsored by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani. The event features the participation of hundreds of global and Arab companies and private institutions engaged in various economic, commercial, and industrial activities from more than 20 countries. Among the many activities at the fair, one of the highlights is the daily "Participate and Win" competition hosted by the International Development Bank, where visitors can win smartphones, open bank accounts with cash prizes, and receive valuable gifts from the bank.

Mr. Saad Faiq Abdul Aziz, the Managing Director of the International Development Bank, spoke about the importance of participation, stating that their involvement was directed by Dr. Ziad Khalaf, Chairman of the IDB Board of Directors. He emphasized that the bank possesses modern systems and technologies and provides services to citizens and institutions in both the public and private sectors through various advanced financial technologies and successful infrastructure. The bank is the first to implement electronic systems.

Mr. Abdul Aziz added that the International Development Bank offers opportunities for expansion and the use of high-quality financial services within the framework of clear goals and vision under the financial inclusion strategy and prioritization of execution. The bank serves all citizens across all provinces and has 23 branches in Iraq, a branch in Beirut, and is the only Iraqi bank in Dubai. This also includes the implementation of the electronic window system. He mentioned that the bank has 350 devices and 5,000 outlets for salary distribution, all aimed at extending economic cooperation with investors, businesspeople, and companies. This is in light of the favorable environment for the banking system and promising investment opportunities that contribute to further economic growth and prosperity.

It is worth noting that the staff of the General Company for Iraqi Exhibitions, along with supporting departments and companies within the ministry, have completed all final preparations for the new session of the Baghdad International Fair. This session is expected to have a high level of organization, along with other aspects related to landscaping green spaces, installing electronic gates for the first time, and undertaking numerous measures in the pavilions and halls over the past months. These efforts have resulted in significant changes, showcasing the fair with artistic beauty and high taste.
