Governor of the Central Bank Congratulates the International Development Bank on the Opening of Its Branch in the UAE

The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Mustafa Ghaleb Mukheef, extended his congratulations to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Development Bank, Engineer Ziyad Khalaf, on the occasion of the opening of a new branch of the bank in the United Arab Emirates.

The Governor praised this achievement as a significant step forward in the journey of Iraqi banks toward regional and international expansion, noting that it reflects the growing confidence in Iraq’s banking sector.

Mr. Mukheef also expressed his sincere appreciation to the Central Bank of the UAE for granting this opportunity to a leading Iraqi bank, valuing the bilateral cooperation between the two institutions. He called on the bank to continue operating at a level worthy of this trust, and stressed the importance of other Iraqi banks adopting a similar approach in the coming period.
